Digital material acceptance

Physical samples, shipped, awaited, often restarted. Each round costs EUR 50 to 150 per SKU, most suppliers need two to five rounds before approval. The barrier was never awareness, it was trust: a phone photo doesn't carry enough information. SamplR delivers standardized captures under four lighting geometries, behavior videos and PBR textures for 3D evaluation. Digital finally becomes trustworthy.

E-commerce retouching reference

Retouching teams across markets interpret the same material differently, because they work from different references or none at all. Up to 22% of e-commerce returns are linked to appearance mismatch. Re-touch and re-shoot cost EUR 40 to 300 per SKU. Scan master samples once, upload to DMIx, every partner worldwide works from the same color-accurate reference.

3D material data

3D tools like CLO and Browzwear are only as good as the material data they receive. Most 3D libraries are built on uncalibrated scans: close enough on screen, not trustworthy for decisions. SamplR changes this in three ways: anyone can scan, no 3D expertise needed. The color-managed pipeline delivers PBR textures that actually represent the material. And at EUR 7,500 per unit, the scanner goes where the materials live, instead of the other way around.

Measure the unmeasurable (Beta)

Melange, prints, lace, multicolor textiles, buttons, buckles: a spectrophotometer reads a 4 mm spot and returns data that doesn't represent the whole material. Approval defaults to 'looks okay'. A single color claim costs around EUR 2,500. In Measure Mode (Beta), SamplR captures an area (about 10 × 10 cm) in Rec. 2020 color space, making heterogeneous materials measurable and comparable. It doesn't replace the spectrophotometer, it fills the gap.

AI-ready material data

AI generates plausible-looking textures, but most don't correspond to any real, orderable material. Without verified input data, AI workflows produce beautiful renders that can't be manufactured. SamplR captures material reality and connects it to master data in DMIx: article number, supplier, price, availability. When AI references a material, it pulls a verified material from a known supplier at a known price. The bridge between AI imagination and industrial reality.
